Terms & Requirements
INFORMATION WITH REGARD TO HEALTH & SAFETY AND OUR TERMS & REQUIREMENTS TO HELP YOUR EVENT RUN AS SMOOTHLY AS POSSIBLE.
Technical requirements:
Ideal space for 4 piece is 6M wide x 3M deep – but we can usually fit into something a bit smaller if space is not at a premium. The area should be flat, clear of any furniture etc. and undercover from the elements.
At least one standard 13A mains socket must be provided on the stage area.
Once set up, the band cannot move to another location.
Some venues have noise limiter systems installed & not all of them will tell you this when you make your booking – so do check. Objayda will work with noise limiter systems – but request advance warning – so we may discuss it with the venue.
Capabilities:
Objayda carry a sound system & small light show suitable for an audience of up to 200-300 people. If your event is bigger than this – then you may need to consider discussing this with us with regard to bringing in reinforcements. We generally perform 2 sets with a maximum 2 hours playing time & can provide pre-recorded music during breaks if required.
PAT Testing & Public Liability Insurance:
All of Objayda’s electrical equipment is fully PAT tested and we have public liability insurance of up to £10,000,000. Please note that this is now a requirement by most reputable venues & hotels. Certificates are available for inspection on request.
Access to the venue:
It is the clients responsibility to ensure reasonable & safe access to the venue & playing area. Failure to do so may result in the band being unable to unload & the full fee still payable. The band require space for 2/3 cars to park for the evening – where this cannot be provided – then information on the nearest parking should be made available before agreeing the booking.
Facilities:
A clean private room / area for the band to change & relax in the case of a longer event, must be provided by the client. Toilets are not acceptable for this purpose.
The band should be provided with refreshments consisting of soft drinks and minimum of one round of sandwiches or buffet per person or in the case of a longer day – a hot meal will be required. Food must be made available at least one hour prior to performance.
Guests behaviour:
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that their guests behave appropriately towards the band at all times. Due to the expensive & delicate nature of our equipment and for health & safety reasons – the band reserve the right to stop the performance immediately if anyone, unless invited by the band, attempts to enter the stage area or place drinks on the stage area. We will also reserve the right to request that anyone who in our opinion poses a danger to us, themselves & others whilst dancing too close to the band, be moved to a safe distance before the performance continues. The client will be held responsible for any damages to the bands equipment caused by their guests. Any form of aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Please understand that these simple requests will allow us to concentrate on what we do best, which is performing good music and giving you a memorable night for all the right reasons.
Guest performers:
Objayda always do their best to accommodate guest performers when requested by the client.
However – please note that this must always be by prior arrangement before the day of the booking and they should bring their own instruments if required. We also reserve the right, in the interests of health & safety to refuse anyone who in our view is not in a suitable state.
Programme:
Objayda have an extensive repertoire – if you do not see the specific song you would like – then we will be happy to play a CD or MP3 for you. We reserve the right to choose our songs & perform our songs in the order we choose. Please feel free to pick a few songs you particularly like from our list, but also trust that you are paying for a professional service with years of experience at picking the right song at the right moment to keep your guests up and dancing.
Personnel:
Objayda reserve the right to book substitute performers if the need arises.
Timings & Travel:
Please be aware that Objayda normally quote for an evening booking – this means arrival not before 6pm & finish of performance by midnight. Times outside of these are possible & may or may not carry a further charge. Please be aware that we require at least one hour to be clear of the building following performance, therefore, if your venue has a curfew, do make sure you consider this. Ideally we require 75mins to set up and change clothes – but this time can be greatly reduced with a bit of forward planning when required. Please note that we generally quote for bookings within 2 hours driving time of Surrey – further distances will be considered at an additional fee.
