It has been 25 years since the release of Dorking band Objayda’s debut album “As If To Say ..” – before the age of digital recording on computers the vinyl album made on a multi-track tape machine, caused quite a stir in local music venues.
Radio One gave it daytime play & Melody Maker printed a very credible review – resulting in several thousand copies being sold. If you bought an original copy or perhaps you’re just curious and really into your “alternative Eighties” music – bands such as All About Eve or New Order – then you’ll be interested to learn that the album has been digitally re-mastered and is available from all major download sites including i-Tunes. What’s more you will find 4 never released demos that were recorded at the Mill studio in Dorking where the Cure also recorded around the same time – in fact Tim even remembers making tea for Robert Smith & the band in exchange for free studio time.
