Tired of hearing the same songs at every party? ........ So are we!
If like us, you're over the obligatory "Dancing Queen" or "Mustang Sally", then chances are you may want to look more closely at our refreshing alternative ...
Since forming back in the Eighties, Objayda has performed professionally at some of the country's top function locations - castles, West End hotels, country manor houses, we've played them all, and along the way, we hold our hands up to supplying much of this so called "cheesy music" in order to keep the masses entertained! But we are thankfully now seeing a shift in taste. More and more, we are being asked to show our alternative side, and consequently our enjoyment, together with the audience reaction has increased no end.
So what does this mean for Objayda? Well ... it's the "Alternative" Party & Event Band - focusing on the music we grew up with in the 70s & 80s, but still bringing in great songs from the 60s, along with a few worthy modern covers to boot. ( see sample list in the page header to give you some idea )
One thing that hasn't changed is the heart of the band's sound - Tim & Tarn provide both male and female dual lead vocals with the kind of harmonies you only get from singers that have worked along side one another for this many years. Backed by only our own totally live instrumentation of guitar, bass & drums ( and sax ) - still has the ability to deliver a big sound, packed with much energy and enthusiasm. Don't get fooled - Objayda never use backing tracks. Make sure you get what you pay for from a live band - Live Music!
Just the ticket for 50th & 60th birthdays, 25th Anniversaries etc, but not exclusively - if this is your bag - then let the party begin ...
Objayda perform upto 2 x 1 hour sets and bring a full sound & light system. We will also provide pre-recorded music between sets - so the party never stops! We now have the capabilities to provide a full DJ service and expanded light show.
